Prior to founding Target Resource Group (TRG) in 1995—then known as Lester & Associates—Rick Lester worked as an independent marketing consultant for 13 years while also holding "day jobs" in marketing at the Cleveland Orchestra and the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, and as executive director at the orchestras of San Antonio and Charlotte. Lester & Associate's first consulting clients included the orchestras in Louisville, Kansas City, Memphis, Omaha, and Syracuse.
Since its founding, TRG has worked with more than 350 clients. A team of dedicated employees works together to help them produce superior revenues and build audiences while improving the return on investment of their marketing activities. TRG's range of services also has grown and includes marketing consulting, database marketing and analytics, and patron behavior research. A true 21st century company, technology plays a major role in enhancing all aspects of TRG's work.
As former arts administrators, artists, and lifelong arts lovers, TRG team members are putting their experience, know-how, and passion to work for the success of TRG clients and the cultural community.
But ultimately, positive results tell TRG's story best. Clients have reported rising revenues, growing audiences, and exceptional payoffs on resources invested while implementing best practices in the industry.
Getting to know the TRG team is just a click or a call away. And you're invited to visit TRG at its beloved mountain headquarters in Colorado. Clients and colleagues in the arts field find Colorado Springs a compelling place to exchange ideas, focus on strategic issues, and plan for success.
